World of Warships

World of Warships is a slow-paced tactical shooter with three primary weapon types: ship artillery, torpedoes, and planes. The gameplay is team based and allows players to work as a team. You can create Divisions in your squad so that a group of up to three players can join and fight together. The player's team can fight other players (PvP) or against AI (PvE) in several types of battles.

Cooperative battles in which a team of players faces a team of AI-controlled bots. Rewards for credits and experience earned in cooperative play are significantly lower than those earned in Random Battles, the most popular battle type in World of Warships. Captains are thrown into a game full of other players according to the matchmaking system, with the majority of Random Battles being 12v12 battles. Scenarios put your team of players against increasingly difficult waves of AI-controlled opponents in operations with unique objectives. Players may queue alone, but are encouraged to gather friends in divisions to test scenarios; assembling a full division of 7 players will greatly increase the chances of success.

Ranked Battles are a type of Season Battles and have restrictions for some ship tiers. The Ranked Battles season is divided into sprints of 1 to 3 weeks each and consists of three leagues - Bronze, Silver, and Gold. Ranked Battles involve advancing players in a ladder-style ranking system in each league, from high rank (eg, "Rank 10") to low rank, where rank 1 is the highest in the ranking. Clan Battles are a special type of battle that is available only at certain times and limited to certain ship tiers. A team is formed from one clan by at least one officer.

Brawls are a specific type of battle that lasts a few days shorter, but is available during the day for a long time. Brawls take place in small formats, such as 1v1 or 3v3, and support participation alone or in a division. The Training Room allows players to generate fully custom scenarios on a map of their choice, choosing game duration, team configurations, and even the exact number of ships on each team. Unbalanced bands are allowed.

The game also has three basic game modes. Standard Battles, a classic type of battle involving teams each with its own base, Domination, which includes several key areas on the map that provide points upon capture, and Epicenter, which includes a giant area in the center of the map, as well as three other key areas in which the aim is to occupy and maintain the central area.

The warships featured in the game span from the early 20th century to the early days of dreadnought battleships to the 1950s warships, including ships that were planned but never put into production. There are four different types of ships in the game, each with a different playstyle: destroyers, cruisers, battleships, and aircraft carriers. Submarines were added to the game as part of testing since Update 0.9.4

The game features the navies of major naval power nations including the United States Navy, Imperial Japanese Navy, Royal Navy, French, Imperial German Navy (later Kriegsmarine), Italian Regia Marina and Imperial Russia. Navy (later the Red Fleet). Commonwealth, pan-European (mostly Swedish) and other smaller European navies are also represented, as well as a pan-Asian tree showing ships from various eastern and south-eastern fleets, and a pan-American nation with ships from South American fleets.

Players can progress in the game by researching and purchasing each ship of each tier. Each specific ship has a number of modules that can be accessed through experience. This experience is used to unlock modules that can be purchased with credits and then mounted. After fully exploring the ship's modules, the player may proceed to the next ship. The previous ship will gain Elite status if it is fully upgraded. Warship elements such as commanders with skill trees and unique traits can be further customized, as well as modification kits and consumables such as signals and ship camouflage.

The game features combat missions, challenges, campaigns, and collections to create additional goals, rewards, and meaningful progress for players as you play. These systems also provide the ability to create narratives within or outside of military or historical genres. Special Halloween, April Fool's Day or other holiday battle modes appear in the game. The second goal of "Vacation Modes" is to test the new game mechanics.

Battles take place on a limited number of specific maps, each representing a specific location with a different geographic layout, mainly based on the locations of historical naval battles. Most maps have a static or dynamic weather system, which makes the battles more varied. Moreover, some maps are unique to a certain game mode, such as PvE battles based on historical events, such as the evacuation of Dunkirk.

Scenarios are a PvE game mode where players cooperate and complete tasks. These include a series of operations, each with separate stories, goals, secondary goals, and rewards. To complete the scenario, players must join forces and complete the main objective. After completing the side objectives, they receive an additional star.

In addition to Ranked Battles, Clan Battles have been introduced as another competitive mode played in a seasonal format. Players can only participate in Clan Battles as a team, unlike Ranked Battles where individual players compete against each other.

Clans are group or "affiliated" players that apply or are invited. In addition, the clan can receive an additional resource - Oil. The commanders (owners) of the group can use this to build fleet buildings, upgrade them, which gives bonuses to each player in the clan.
